She rattles faith
An illusion of peace
Tried every bait
But can't be seized

Cunning
Bold
And Beautiful

Magical
Shrewd
But Intangible

Her favorite color is gold
And I need to let her go

She captures souls
Engulfs the hearts
Unquenchable thirst
That never departs

Soothing
Intoxicating
But Temporary

Melody
Rhythm
And contemporary

She sings through the radio
And I need to let her go

She does appeal
But is not real
She does attract
But it's an act
She is magnetic
But all synthetic

Must gather my whit
So I can split
Pull together my act
So I can detach
From the source
I must divorce…
