Why,
when we travel to the sea
or to any near or far country or city,
we are so happy!

but we are all sad
when we think of death
that is a journey to the other world?

Grocers,
who count their customers’ money carefully
think that we enter the filthy earth
after our death
but the poets know
that from the earth, flowers grow
so it must be heavenly and divine,
where we go.

And we, after our death
go to a real birthday party;
a party with no melting candles,
with no bursting balloons
and no phony smiles.

mash’Allah…! We should all be looking forward to death, not running away from it! Brothers and Sisters in Islam, work your lives so that when you stand before Allah, the prophet and the ahylul-bayt on the final day, we can do so with pride!
