Palestine Burns

ImageNadir Amirali with a heart felt poem about Palestine and the struggles of its people.

Palestinian youth burning tires

Palestine burns
it fell to the ground
when we turned our backs

Palestine falls
there's nowhere to go
only occupied land

Palestine calls for aid
no one's there
the children of Palestine
have no milk
no honey
no brothers, no fathers

Palestine burns
and burns
she's on her knees

Israel, why do you torture
the weak, the fallen
consider this

bloodshed and famine
is this your holy land?

lonely, lonely Palestine
the cow has been butchered
Palestine, Palestine, Palestine

Moses weeps for your departed
he can't look into your eyes
his people have brought
you to your broken knees

Palestine, your Lord knows
Palestine, i cry for you
for your children
