Men Shall Be As Scattered Moths

So we will meet again, I pray my dear when men shall be as scattered moths. I wish to meet again, I pray my dear when mountains shall be as carded wool.

Time to wear your final cloth
We will meet again, I pray my dear
When men shall be as scattered moths

With grief and sorrow my heart is full
We will meet again, I pray my dear
When mountains shall be as carded wool

Our deeds as our companion
Books of our life in our hands
When all souls will be reckoned
Great rocks will turn to sand

Before you head to paradise
Find me before you leave
Just one look will suffice
To enjoy your company

With your measure of good deeds heavy
You will find me amongst the crowd
I hope this reunion will be
When you see me, I hope you’re proud

This world is a cage for those who believe
You’re relieved, completely free
But ’til I see your face once more
My spirit will not find peace

So we will meet again, I pray my dear
When men shall be as scattered moths
I wish to meet again, I pray my dear
When mountains shall be as carded wool

Dedicated to my grandfather, Syed Ikhtiyar Hussain Rizvi. Please recite Sura al-Fatiha for his soul and the souls of all believing men and women.
